The Epic of My Creativity: Journey Through Art and Beauty

Ten years navigating a small business selling everyday treasures from the Middle East shook my determination to remain in the shadows. The proximity to small masterpieces of craftsmanship awakened the creative flame within me.

During this inner journey that brought me closer to my desire for creation, I had the pleasure of visiting Senegal several times, a country bursting with colours from West Africa. Its vibrant culture and inventive craftsmanship captivated me, and it was there that I had my first encounter with a gourd.

A dish of "Tiéboudiène" – rice and fish – shared on a mat, served in a half-gourd, the immersion in Senegalese culture, the importance of living together and knowing how to make the most of one's environment with accuracy and creativity reinforced my belief that happiness is found in the simple and tasty things in life.

I developed a taste for these everyday objects made from this sustainable plant material, for the ornamental pieces carved from this magical fruit, for the musical instruments of the griots whose gourds are the resonating bodies.

The creative possibilities of this fruit combined with local ingenuity made me want to explore my own latent creative universe.

I have always been fascinated by lighting, essential to the atmosphere of a home, and upon reflection, it quickly became clear that I had found my creative project.
